Went out with Mel, Rach, Hazel, Hui Ting and the guys yesterday. Decided to drop the idea of watching a movie since there wasn't a movie that all was agreeable to.
We had dinner at Sho Teppan which basically, as its name suggests is a teppanyaki stall. They cook the ingredients infront of you. Mel, Rach and I got a soup based meal. Didn't know what the rest got. The meal was okay, but the price was not. Too expensive. But the meat was good. I got this Black Angus meal, its beef, and the beef, was goooood. My meal included a pot of soup with cabbage, a mushrooms, an egg, 6 thin slices of beef, a bowl of salad, udon and....this other thin luminous noodle. The soup was freaking salty. Rach was lamenting about it being very salty, which I have to agree. But I really liked the beef. Wanted to like try having my beef medium rare by taking it ou before it turned completely brown but I didn't dare to. Shoulda done it, aiyar!
We were like lost sheeps trying to find somewhere to go, something to do. Basically, I didn't think we'd have much trouble deciding on a movie. So we walked aimlessly around for a bit. Got bought some bread from the bakery at Isetan to bring home for the family. Then Hui Ting suggested that we went to esplanade to listen to some music at the outdoor theatre. I was quite reluectant, because going anywhere near the flyer was not really relaxing for me anymore, it just reminded me of work and its haunting. Furthermore, I WENT FOR THE OUTING STRAIGHT FROM WORK!
But well, I just tagged along. Was host and I could not just leave like that, its not very nice.
No regrets.
The Indian Arts Festival (Kalaa Utsavam) is currently on going at the Esplanade. Advaita, an eclectic fusion band from india was playing at the theatre. I loved the music. I always liked fusion. Liked Huo Yuan Jia because of its fusion of oriental intrumentals with rock beats, Jai Ho too.
Checked out their website. Wanted to listen to their songs online since I could not afford their album.
ADVAITA There's this song in the website titled 'Light' the accoustic version, which I'm listening to right now which I really love. I'm listening to it for the third time now. Not sick yet. Its really gentle and I like the piano!
