Hokay, I'm learning how to dress like a New Yorker now. I don't know how New Yorkers look nice in basics while we...just look under dressed.
But I think one fail proof method to make basics look good. Tortoise shell spectacles with loafers, ballerina flats of slippers (No not flip flops...its a type of covered shoe). Oh and a nicely tied up hair or nicely cut short hair.
I am so visiting Gap soon. And Fox...
F9 Lecturer.
"Do yall remember these? They were taught in F5. Remember that they were taught in those days?? Hmm? No you don't remember. After exam everything forget already, throw back to the teacher. Its okay, you are normal. That you throw back to the teacher and forget everything is normal."
Doesn't sound that funny here. You should have heard the way my lecturer says it. With that subtle sacarsm. I like his dry humour, always cracks me up. Woke up early in the morning to attend lessons at Tanjong Pagar. Alas, I alight at Outram Park instead of Dhoby Gaut to switch to the other line. The building isn't far from the MRT but Tanjong Pagar just sounds so foreign to me. It won't be for long though.
The schools pretty neat. A little too quiet for my liking but I like that it isn't too popular with students. Has that really exquisite feel to it. But that its a new school in SG everything's smaller than Kaplan. The toilet... ... I like how comfortable Kaplan's toilets are. Good place to sit and stone.
The schools on the 23rd floor and has a pretty good view of the city, the tall buildings of the financial district...the view is really different. Haven't seen such a view before. Different from that seen from MBS or Flyer or your HDB flat. At my school, you get sky scrapers in front of you. They don't quite block your view but compliment it. Quite awesome... Just very... in the business district lor. Happening in its own subtle way. Imagine staying on the 23 story of a hotel in New York with sky scrapers everywhere... ... just not that tall.
I think I should bring my camera to class one day to take a shot of the view from my classroom. I was really tempted to sit by the window. Sat in the middle in the end. The long window in the class just makes the class bigger and brighter, not claustrophobic. I don't have claustrophobia, but I like bright rooms with natural lighting. Feels easier to breathe in them and makes the environment cosy and relaxing. Maybe I am mildly claustrophobic... ... O.O hmmm.
Studying Financial Management. Something that, in my opinion, homes into what business revolves round. Listening to the lecture makes me that much closer to the business world. Its a whole new level. F1 to F8 hasn't been that intense in terms of the content discussed. It always felt distant some how. Financial Managements seems to bring us closer to the real deal. Going to learn how to measure future returns on investment to see if in they are worth investing in in the first place. Gonna learn how to make financial decisions and make money! So next time yall can consult me on this matter. Disclaimer! That I'm still a rookie, I shall not bear any losses you incur due to your reliance on my advise. You have been warned!! JENG JENG JENG JENG!!!!
Soup Spoons Jan specials are out!! They all look fabulous. I've been specially mentioned too!! For real, that is not some other Geraldine. All their specials look good. Think I will have trouble deciding on which to try.
Troubles of a Poor Girl.
